Jumbulance Trust - Holiday Insurance - Departures in 2023

 

We have arranged with Global Travel Insurance Services Ltd a holiday insurance policy specially designed with our holidays in mind.  We summarise below the details of the insurance cover provided which also includes 24-hour emergency service from Towergate Assistance. The following is a brief summary of the cover available. Full details of the cover, conditions and exclusions will be forwarded with your confirmation of booking. In any event you may ask for a specimen copy of the policy wording before booking should you wish to examine this in advance.

Please note that the Winter Sports option is not available to persons aged 66 and over.  If you are aged 65 and under and require winter sports cover, this can be added once you have obtained the initial quotation.

HEALTH CONDITIONS

You must be able to comply with the following conditions to have the full protection of your policy. If you do not comply, we may refuse to deal with any relevant claim or reduce the amount of any relevant claim payment.

  1. You are not travelling,
  2. against the advice of a medical practitioner
  3. for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment
  4. against any health requirements stipulated by the carrier, their handling agents or any other public transport provider.
  5. All medical and repatriation costs must be specifically authorised by us, Towergate Assistance or their appointed agents. Failure to obtain prior authorisation from us or Towergate Assistance could prejudice your claim.
  6. You must assist us and our agents in any way to minimise any claim made.

If you are a United Kingdom resident and you are travelling to countries within the EU, you must obtain a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) before leaving the United Kingdom.

 

IMPORTANT

The following General Exclusions apply to this policy:

  1. Any epidemic or pandemic as declared by the World Health Organisation.
  2. Any coronavirus including but not limited to COVID-19, or any related/mutated form of the virus. This exclusion does not apply to COVID-19 claims under the COVID-19 section of this policy.

This policy is only available to residents of the United Kingdom. The definition of residents of the United Kingdom is any person who is staying in or has lived in the United Kingdom for more than 12-months, or if studying or working in the United Kingdom for more than 6 months.

  1. You must ensure that you have had any recommended inoculations, vaccines (including COVID-19 where it has been offered to you) or medications relating to your destination prior to your trip
